About Us

Our Family

Andy and I met in London in 2008. In 2009, we decided to move to my home town Sydney, Australia, which, incidentally, was also a little closer to Andy’s hometown of Wellington, New Zealand.

In 2010 we had the honor of welcoming our son into the world and naming him Finnigan Banjo Stokes.

Our background

Andy and I are city-folk and neither of us come from farming families.

I have worked as a public servant and a consultant specialising in procurement and asset management. Andy started out as a fitter turner machinist and later became a facilities management consultant. In recent years, Andy has been the stay at home parent looking after Finnigan and renovating house after house as we saved to fund our farming dream.

Our farming dream

Andy and I are committed to creating a more sustainable way of living for ourselves and our son. We want to sustainably produce healthy food, eat the food we produce and help feed our friends and local community.

Ultimately we hope to develop a business producing free range, chemical-free pigs and garlic. We also hope to have a couple of holiday cottages for tourists. On the side, mostly for our own benefit, we intend to establish a have a small market garden and trial aquaponics.
